Transition to FCAT 2.0: During the 2011–2012 school year, students in grades 3–8 will be taking new FCAT 2.0 assessments for Reading, Mathematics, and Science with questions aligned to Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. Writing tests will cover Sunshine State Standards, but feature more rigorous grading standards.
